Car Seat Coziness
Finn was not one of those babies who liked the car. He used to scream the second we put him in his car seat and cry during the whole car ride until we arrived at our destination. He has done so much better. I think he is used to routine of it now since we take him everywhere we go. He is much more patient; even when we are putting him in the seat all bundled up.
Hangin' With Mr. Cooper
Cousin Cooper has the same Rainforest playmat as Finn. I am so lucky that I have so many family members and friends who are having babies at the same time. All of our kids are close in age. It will be really neat for them to grow up with each other. That is what I had as a child and it was really fun. All of my cousins are good friends of mine and we still hang out together all the time. So it's nice that our kids will have the same thing.
Finally...Something to Eat Besides Cereal
I have decided to make all of Finn's baby food and use all organic and locally grown (if possible) fruits and vegetables. This was a fun day. I started with butternut squash and green beans. I have to admit, this is the first time I have ever bought squash. So this was an adventure for me.
Green Beans
We have to feed him the same food for 4 days before we try something new. So the verdict is still out for the green beans. As for the squash...

He loves it! He couldn't get the next bite fast enough. And it was so cute; every time he took a bite, he said "Mmmmmm" like it was the greatest things ever.
Just Like Cousin Landon!
Same glow-in-the-dark Halloween jammies!
"Let me show you how it's done little cuz!"
Looks like Landon is ready for a little brother...
Look Closely...
My first teeth!!
These little baby teeth broke through at the same time this past Friday. I can tell he is already working on some more teeth. Oh the drool!! And he has been getting fussy and chewing on things like a little puppy!
Here's another look.

My Two Favorite Hats
I can't decide which one I like better. He looks so cute in both!! There aren't many ways to jazz up outfits for boys. I do it with funky hats or socks.
Babies In Costumes
We went over to Mike and Jess's and hung out with them and Bram and Stacy on Beggar's night. Mike and Jess had Owen (Finn's best friend) this past March and Bram and Stacy had Emma a few days later. So the three kids are pretty close in age. It is really neat to see them interact together.
Owen Emma
I look forward to watching these boys grow up together.

No More Barley!
I am a walking zombie today. Finn was up all night screaming and crying. He could not be comforted. I think he had extreme gas problems. Sleeping in his bed wasn't happening. Sleeping in my bed with me wasn't happening. I had to pretty much hold him upright all night. He was fed, had a clean diaper, had gas drops, had his blankie, had a pacifier... nothing would calm him down. This carried on through the morning. His favorite book didn't even make him happy. The only thing I can think of that may have caused this is the barley cereal he ate yesterday afternoon. He didn't even eat that much of it. But that is the only thing that has been different in his diet. All I have to say is... No more barley!
