20 Week Ultrasound For Baby #2

Look at the freaky eyeball staring at us!!

This was an exciting day.  We learned that our baby is completely healthy.  That is such a relief to hear.  I suppose things could still change later on in the pregnancy; but all of the major issues just got ruled out.  No heart or brain defects, no congenital diseases, no downs syndrome and no missing body parts!  As far as the baby's size goes, we are in good shape there too.  At Finn's 20 week ultrasound, he was measuring in the 94th percentile.  This one is measuring in the 44th percentile.  I am hoping this one is normal sized at birth.  That really is the only thing I am apprehensive about.  I don't think I could handle delivering 12 pounds of baby again!  My doctor thinks this one could be normal sized.  But we will just have to see.  So far, so good.

We didn't find out what we are having.  I'll admit, it was hard not to just say "Tell me!".  The ultrasound tech got to find out, but Jason and I closed our eyes when they scanned the baby's nether regions.

The baby was so squirrely in there!  He/She was moving around like crazy!  I loved watching him/her stretch out and punch and kick.  I felt a real connection with the baby.  Now I am starting to feel actual little jabs from punching and kicking.  Before, it felt like a fish was swimming around in there.  Now, the movements are more obvious.  I can't wait to meet my little stinker!  I am a lot more anxious to meet him/her now that I have seen an eyeball.

Owen and Finn - BFF

These boys are starting to play so well together.  Before, they were just playing beside each other.  Now they are actually playing with each other.  It was really cute.  And they were both sharing so well!

Shopping with Mama

These pictures are bad quality.  They were taken on my phone.

He usually does so well at the grocery.  This was a big shopping day too.  We were there for a long time.  I noticed he started nodding off in the basket.  His head was falling forward and he would jerk when he was about to fall over.  So I picked him up and held him.  He immediately fell asleep.  I figured I would try to lay him down in the basket and see if he would stay asleep.  He did.  I was able to transfer him from the cart, to the car and then into the house.
He never budged.
