Finn's cousin Landon has a Woody doll that he doesn't go many places without. Finn was playing with this doll two weeks ago when we all went to the cabin. The doll talks (incessantly) every time you take his hat off or put it on, and whenever you pull the string on its back. It is pretty annoying; and there is no way to adjust the volume on it. Finn absolutely loved it. He didn't want to put it down all weekend. Our caregiver bought the same doll for her daughter Cali this past Christmas. So when Finn went over to her house that following Monday, he immediately recognized the doll and played with it for hours. He was pretty upset when it was time to go home and we had to give Cali her doll back. He has never reacted this way to a toy. I knew we would probably have to get one of these annoying dolls for Finn. I picked one up for him at Target, and he hasn't stopped playing with it since! It is the first toy he goes to when he wakes up in the morning.

Castle Hills Swimming Pool
Finn and I went to the pool with cousin Katie and her kids. Finn had such a good time. They have a cool baby pool. It has little fountains and is perfect for children Finn's age. I took him into the big pool too. He really enjoyed that as well. We will definitely come back to this pool again.
Mac N Cheese Messiness
Contrary to what some people believe (you know who you are...), I do let my son get dirty. We usually feed him the foods that could make him super messy. But sometimes we let him go for it himself.

Finn's One Year Pictures
My cousin Rene is a photographer. She agreed to take some pictures of our family at Smith Garden in Oakwood. Normally, I would refuse to be in pictures; especially at this size, but I needed some nice pictures of us together and figured I would just have to bite the bullet and do it. Rene took over 350 pictures of us. It was really hard to narrow them down to just show some of our favorites, but here goes...
