Long Overdue Haircut

I really don't know why this is so traumatic for him.  This is his 4th hair cut since June.  His hair grows soooooo fast!  I can't believe it!  They actually had to this his hair out because it is so thick.  She said if she didn't thin it out a bunch, it would stick straight up since she was cutting it so short.  He looks so much older to me now :(

Halloween Jammies

Grandma's Lap

 This was a Friday night out to dinner with my parents.  Finn just couldn't maintain.  Grandma was glad to offer up her lap for Finn so he could fall asleep. 

A Fun Fall Day

Finn has learned two new things today: 

1.)  Running is way more fun that walking.

2.)  Tennis ball = hours of entertainment.

 

New Pillow

I decided Finn was ready to have a pillow in his bed.  I bought a small pillow to start with, and eventually, we will graduate to a bigger pillow.  I couldn't find any cool pillow cases for a pillow of this size so I decided to make him one.  I bought some fabric from JoAnn Fabrics and asked Jason to design some type of little creature to put on this pillow case.  Jason came up with a white ghost with drippy tentacles.  So I got to work and this is what we came up with.  He is a happy ghost, not a scary one; so Finn likes him.  

Big Boy Car Seat

After doing months of research on which convertible car seat would be the right choice for Finn, we decided to go with the Evenflo Symphony65 E3 All-In-One.  It had the best padding and seems quite comfy.  We also needed one that would fit in our SUV and truck rear-facing since we plan on keeping Finn in the rear-facing position until he is 2 years old.  Most convertible car seats are so big that they won't fit in any car or truck in the rear-facing position unless the driver's seat or passenger's seat is pushed all the way forward; which won't work for us because of our height.  Another deciding factor for this car seat was that it reclines in 3 different positions.  And since Finn tends to fall asleep a lot in the car, we wanted a seat that would allow for that without his head hanging forward when he falls asleep.  This seat is perfect for that.

Finn seems really happy in his new big boy seat.
