Noah's First Food - Oatmeal

Now it's time for yummy food! I was excited to start making baby food again.  I made some peas, green beans, butternut squash, peaches, and apples.

When They're Tired, They're Tired...

Egzema

Finn's egzema is so bad.  It never goes away.  I have to put so much crap on his skin every day just to keep it from completely scabbing up; but it never fully goes away.  After complaining about this to his pediatrician several times and trying different ointments, we were finally referred to a dermatologist.  She agreed that it is just egzema and nothing more serious.  And this is his daily routine now to try to get rid of it: Rub Cerave cream all over his body twice a day ($17 per tub), put prescription ointment on all the spots ($49 per tube - and super messy), and then cover him in prescription oil all over his body after each bath ($59 per bottle - and she wants him to get a bath every night - and this stuff is also a pure mess).  This routine is exhausting; but it does seem to be working.

Baby Teeth!

Well I felt like a terrible mom on this day...
A couple days prior, Noah started to slobber and drool.  I thought, Hmmm, he must be starting the teething process.  Literally, two days later, he had two little teeth.  No muss, no fuss.  And I hadn't even noticed.  We were at a friend's house and I mentioned to her that I thought Noah was going to get teeth soon.  She had her finger in his mouth and said, "I think he already has teeth".
He was exactly 4 months old; the same age as Finn when he got his bottom two teeth.
